Sound workshop series by Dylan Martorell 

Thank you to all those who attended these workshops, it was an incredible turn-out and a success! Outcomes from these workshops were viewable in our exhibition at the Wangaratta Art Gallery during February 2018, curated by Residency Projects directors Kate Hill and Eugene Howard.



School holidays art workshops with Dylan Martorell

A two-part workshop series across two days in which participants will make sound-based sculptures and a performance.

Workshop #1 | BOOKED OUT Construction of sound based sculptures from recycled parts and farm equipment. 
Date: Wednesday 27th September
Time: 1-4pm
Location: Old Boorhaman Primary School: 1548 Boorhaman rd, Boorhaman
Cost: FREE
Access: The school grounds are accessible by wheelchair (part of the ground is that of a slightly rough rural sporting oval) the event is held outide and there are all-gender toilets available in proximity to the installations. 
Participants: Ages 8-16 years. Children will be supervised and can be left for the duration of the worshop (3 hours). Please bring snacks and water bottle. (Maximum 10 participants). 
Workshop #2 | A videoed performance using the sculptures and installation as instruments. This video will be created in front of the green screen, incorporating experiemental lighting and sound.  DATE: Friday 29th September

About the artist: Dylan Martorell is a Melbourne based artist who works with found materials and robotics to create immersive sound installations.
