The Boorhaman Residency Project was conceived and directed by Kate Hill and Eugene Howard and took place during the spring of 2017 with artists Chaco Kato and Dylan Martorell. The emphasis was on the artists to spend time in Boorhaman to uncover a deeper understanding of how art practices can engage with environments and communities.
Both artists’ negotiated site-specific elements through their process and worked with community members in a series of workshops, contributing to the final project. The Boorhaman Residency Project is now re-configured and delivered at Wangaratta Art Gallery.
